Report on the Semester Examinations December 2011 & January 2012 [PHASE –II]
The semester examinations for the session 2011-2012 for all batches were conducted on and from 14.12.2011. The examinations were conducted to give the students an exposure for the University Examinations. The University Examinations for the Bachelor of Business Administration [B.B.A.] Semester-I students were conducted on and from 15.12.2011. The semester examinations came to an end on 21.12.2011. The results for the Semester Examinations for all batches were published on 06.01.2012. Many students could not appear for the semester examinations. It was decided in the Staff meeting to provide them an opportunity to re-write the Semester Examinations. As decided the Phase-II of the Semester Examinations were conducted on and from 09.01.2012 which concluded on 14.01.2012. The Semester examinations [Phase-I & Phase-II] and University Examinations for B.B.A.-I were conducted in a planned way. The Selection Tests for all Batches for the Session 2011-2012 are scheduled to be held on and from 06.02.2012.

College Quiz & PTSA Meet
There was a PTSA meeting organised by the college on 21st January 2012. The programme of the day started with an introductory speech given by Mr. Peter Lepcha (Head of the Dept. of English). Then there was a quiz competition organised by the computer club and Department of Computer Science. Before the end of the quiz, a speech was delivered by Fr. (Rector) M.A Joseph Manippadeth. |

Book Release :
Nepali Short Stories & Mountain Economy
Salesian College Siliguri Campus, January 17th 2012; On 17.01.2012 a Book Release programme was organised by the Salesian College Siliguri Campus at 11.30 am. The book Khaharey - a translation of short stories of Shiv Kumar Rai, a Nepali litterateur by Sukant Rai, a former student, and the fourth issue of Salesian Journal of Humanities and Social Science named “Mountain Economy: Resources, Sustainability and Governance” were released by the Chief Guest for the day Prof. Jeta Sanskritayan (Dean of the faculty of Arts, Commerce and Law) University of North Bengal.
